Miller will not run in euro elections

Left-wing politician and former prime minister, Leszek Miller will not take part in this year's election to the European Parliament.

 

Miller explained that he would rather run for Polish parliament in two years' time.

 

Meanwhile, representatives of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) and Polish Left, a newly formed left-wing political party founded by Leszek Miller, entered into a cooperation agreement, Friday.

 

They will cooperate in the next general election campaign. Based on that agreement, members of Polish Left party shall be enrolled on the electoral register of Democratic Left Alliance.

 

One member of the party said: "Polish left-wing parties should work together, particularly at a time of financial crisis." (gg/pg)
