A bus transporting children crashed into a viaduct in Swidnica, in Lower Silesia, injuring at least 45 people.
One child is seriously hurt and in the hospital along with three caretakers.
The driver ran into a viaduct running over the road that was much lower than the height of the vehicle. It is yet unknown as to why the accident occurred, but police have assured press that weather conditions are not to blame.
The driver, seated on the lower level of the bus, has not been injured at all but has not been able to explain why he rammed into the viaduct.
There are no visible signs of rapid braking or rubber burn on the road. Police estimate that the bus was travelling at a speed of 50-60 km/hr at the point of collision. (mmj)
