Euro parliamentarians of the ruling Civic Platform (PO) are among the most active – shows the latest research by the Kosciuszko Institute published in Rzeczpospolita daily. The first in the ranking is Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, followed by former PM Jerzy Buzek and Janusz Lewandowski. The first eurodeputy from the opposition Law and Justice Party (PiS) Konrad Szymański is ranked fourth followed by his party colleague Marcin Libicki. The most active female euro deputy is Lidia Geringer de Oedenberg from the leftist party who ranked sixth. The least active were euro deputies from the rightist League of Polish Families (LPR) and the militant farmers’ party Self-Defense Party (Samoobrona).
According to the ranking, Civic Platform euro deputies prepared the biggest number of reports, were the most active in the European Parliament and held many important positions.
