A press conference marks the launch of an election campaign of the center-right Civic Platform ahead of the European parliamentary elections.
Officials attending the event include head the campaign Grzegorz Dolniak, and three candidates running for parliament: former prime minister Jerzy Buzek, head of Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament Jacek Saryusz-Wolski and former head of the Polish Schuman Foundation Róża Thun.
According to unofficial reports, the first campaign billboard will refer to the global economic slowdown, and claims that the ruling government led by PM Donald Tusk is capable of counteracting it. The details of the campaign, however, remain unknown.
Regional campaigns of the Civic Platform will be launched this weekend.
