Violent storms hit Poland on Wednesday morning, killing one person.

A fisherman died after he was hit by lightening in the Masuria Lake District. The man is the second person to die during storms in the last two weeks.

Heavy rains have flooded several dozen houses in Olsztyn, north east Poland. Many homes were still damp after previous floods.

More storms and strong wind are expected in the region.

In the Lower Silesia most trains are delayed as rails have been flooded. In the Lubelszczyzna region, south-east of Poland, hail and heavy rain are expected. (mg/pg)
