Hardkor 44 is the name of the new movie project by 2003 Oscar nominee Tomasz Bagiński, which mixes historical fact with computer generated scenery.
The movie is based on the real life story of the Warsaw Rising in 1944 but told in science fiction style.
The movie, to be co-produced by the Warsaw Rising Museum, will feature live actors in a digitally generated surrounding world. According to Bagiński, it will represent a new approach to story telling.
Hardkor 44 should be in movie theatres in 2012.
Tomasz Baginski is well known for his achievements in computer graphics and animation. His most recognized works include Katedra (The Cathedral) which was nominated for an Oscar in the category of short animated film in 2003 as well as Sztuka Spadania (The Art of Falling) for which he received the prestigious BAFTA British film award.
