For the first time in history, the Polish Armed Forces have their own trade mark.
It will be officially presented Saturday during the ceremony of Polish Army Day.
“We need a trade mark just as much as any company in the 21st century. We want soldiers from different military units to share a common emblem, something they can identify with,” says Michal Lazowski from the Ministry of Defence. Lazowski hopes that a new logo will be universally recognizable like Coca-cola’s or the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity’s trade marks.
The logo was designed by Andrzej Pagowski, famous Polish graphic artist. It cost 22,000 zloty (5,300 euro) and was chosen through an open competition. (mg/mmj)
