A glider fell from the sky near Warsaw, Friday, killing two onboard.
The tragic accident occurred in the early afternoon in the suburbs of Warsaw. Despite a quick rescue action by air medical and fire services the two glider pilots were found dead on the spot.
The cause of the crash will be investigated by a special team of aviation experts.
Meanwhile, airport in Gdansk on the Baltic coast was also the scene of an incident. A Russian Ilyushin 76 cargo plane was damaged on the runway after landing. Though the machine was damaged it managed to taxi to its assigned box. It was carrying limousines for the delegation of Russian VIPs, including Vladimir Putin, who will be taking part in the anniversary ceremonies at Westerplatte marking the outbreak of World War Two on September 1..
