The burial of Marek Edelman, the legendary commander of the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, will take place at the capital’s Jewish cemetery on Friday morning.

Edelman died last Friday at the age of 87.

The funeral procession will proceed from the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes in Warsaw and then pass on to the Jewish Cemetery.  

Edelman will be buried alongside comrades who died in the uprising. (pg)
