Anna Walesa, daughter of former president Lech Walesa, is taking Arcana Publishing House to court for insulting her father.

The action against Arcana has been brought to the District Court in the southern city of Krakow. Lech Walesa’s daughter claims that a book titled Lech Walesa. Idea i Historia [Lech Walesa. Thoughts and History] by Pawel Zyzak violates her personal rights and hurts her dignity and feelings as she respects and loves her father.

Anna Walesa wants the publishing house to apologize for lies about Lech in a written statement published in a nationwide daily and calls for banning the publication and distribution of the book.

The former president and leader of Solidarity’s daughter also demands 20,000 zloty (4,750 euro) in damages which will be devoted to a charity organization “Sprawni Inaczej”. (mg)
