Three people were killed when a Polish Border Guard helicopter crashed 200 metres in to Belarus Saturday.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.

“The pilot had extensive experience of flying this type of helicopter. It was a routine flight,” said Adam Rapacki, deputy interior minister.

He added that a committee has been set up to investigate the cause of the crash. “We will work with the Belarusian side, which is also conducting an investigation into the accidenr.” (pg)
