The swine flu death toll has risen in Poland to 16 with 736 cases of AH1N1 being registered with the virus.

Deputy health minister Adam Fronczak said after a meeting of the committee devoted to the situation in Poland that the number of infections is likely to grow for another two weeks.

Poland is now one of 13 European Union countries  in which the number of A/H1N1 infections is on the rise. In the third week of November, over 97, 000 cases of flu of all types were registered in Poland. (mk/pg)
