Help kids through the winter

29.11.2009
Sunday sees the start of the Help Children Through the Winter charity campaign by Polskie Radio and TVP public television.

Food, sweets, clothing and more is collected every year to reach children from poor families in orphanages, recreation centres and educational institutes. No money is excepted by the organisers, only gifts.

In Warsaw, over twenty collections points will be operating - identifiable by a van with the yellow smiley logo.

The collection is held under the patronage of President of Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz - Waltz.

This is the seventeenth year of the Help Kids Through Winter campaign and was first initiated by Radio Lublin in south east Poland. Last year, 22,000 families and 133 children's homes, clubs and educational centres received help from the charity action.
