Student tries to break longest lecture record
12.12.2009
Errol Muzawazi of Zimbabwe, a law student at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, is continuing his bid to break the Guinness record for delivering the world’s longest lecture.
He is to talk about a wide range of African issues for 130 hours. In the early morning hours of today, almost half-way through his attempt, he was forced to take a 15-minute break due to exhaustion.
Fortunately, he managed to resume the lecture, and hopes to keep on until 10 p.m. on Monday, to have his name included in the Guinness Book of Records.
He focuses today on the history of African countries.
According to the rules, at least two people have to be present in the lecture room at all times. (mk/pg)
