Police want to introduce transfer fee, like the trade in footballers, to prevent the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) and the Internal Security Agency (ABW) poaching the best police from other units.
The new head of CBA Pawel Wojtunik already managed to persuade twenty policemen to join his bureau. Police officers are usually interested in joining state agencies because they can earn even 3,000 zloty more (738 euro).
The Police Headquarters, afraid of losing the best officers, is considering introducing a transfer system similar to the one in football. Police want CBA or ABW to pay for an officer. The cost of transfer would equal a training cost. (mg)
