Not for the faint-hearted
The Polish government today will debate on changes to the traffic regulations which may make the lives of motorists more difficult.
On the one hand it will be more difficult to lose one’s driving licence, but on the other young drivers can expect to be monitored closely for the first two years after passing the test.
Quads will also require special driving licences, and licences for high-powered motorcycles will be issued only to drivers over 24 years of age.
The new regulations have been proposed by the Ministry of Infrastructure in the hope that they will help eliminate dangerous drivers and make Polish roads safer. (ek/jb)
