Officers got a shock in a police station near Warsaw this week when a large snake emerged from the cleavage of a woman who was being questioned on disturbing the peace charges.
The questioning of the young woman was suddenly interrupted by a royal python which emerged from her low necked blouse and came face-to-face with stunned policemen in Otwock near Warsaw.
Asked why she chose to bring the creature to the police precinct, she just smiled enigmatically, unperturbed by the commotion and mild panic the black snake with yellow markings had caused.
“We respect civic rights, and no one inspected the lady’s cleavage,” a police officer said after being asked why the lady was not body searched. .
The 19 year old woman was being questioned, together with her two room mates, on suspicion that they broke open a door leading to the rooftop where they were staying and organized a noisy party there. The administration estimates the damages at 1,500 zlotys (about 380 euro).
Acting on an earlier tip off, the police searched the flat which the woman rented together with a 23 year old man, and found 19 bags with amphetamine traces in the dustbin.
The snake, which grows to an average of 1.2 m (4 ft), was bought legally, say police. (kk/pg)
