Summer time!

27.03.2010

This night Poland, along with the rest of the EU turns to summer time, putting clocks forward by one hour.  At 2 am in the morning on Sunday, March 28th clocks go forward to 3.

With this, mornings are shorter while evenings are longer, giving more natural light in the afternoon. The move is considered to improve the use of natural light. It’s not certain whether it actually contributes to saving energy.

In Poland, daylight saving time was first introduced in the between-war years, then reintroduced periodically in the years 1946-1949, 1957-1964 and every year since 1977. (ek)
