A
new season of Sunday recitals of Chopin’s music in Warsaw’s Royal
Łazienki Park is launched today by Janusz Olejniczak (12 noon) and
Stanisław
Drzewiecki (4.00 pm).
The grand piano is placed on a platform beneath
the
monument to Fryderyk Chopin. There will be two recitals at the same
hours every
Sunday, until the end of September. In addition to leading Polish
pianists,
featured artists include Jonathan Plowright from Britain, Philippe
Giusiano and
Marc Laforet from France, Kevin Kenner from the United States and
Alberto Nose
from Italy.
This
is
the 51st season of the Chopin recitals in the Łazienki Park.
