16.05.2010

A new season of Sunday recitals of Chopin’s music in Warsaw’s Royal Łazienki Park is launched today by Janusz Olejniczak (12 noon) and Stanisław Drzewiecki (4.00 pm).

The grand piano is placed on a platform beneath the monument to Fryderyk Chopin. There will be two recitals at the same hours every Sunday, until the end of September. In addition to leading Polish pianists, featured artists include Jonathan Plowright from Britain, Philippe Giusiano and Marc Laforet from France, Kevin Kenner from the United States and Alberto Nose from Italy.

This is the 51st season of the Chopin recitals in the Łazienki Park. (mk)
