The first Festival of Polish Films opens in Madrid allowing the Spanish public a wide review of Polish cinematography.
The five day event sees the screening of 25 short and feature films, among them Xawery Zulawski’s “Snow White and Russian Red”, based on the novel by Dorota Maslowska under the same title and second best Polish Film of 2009.
Andrzej Wajda’s “Sweet Rush” and Borys Lankosz’s “Rewers”, winner of the 2009 Golden Lion for best Polish Film, are expected to be screened at the festival.
The Madrid Polish Film Festival will also present Polish animated films from the renowned Bielsko Biala Animated Films Studio. (ab)
