Fifty one percent of Poles do not believe that the causes of the Smolensk disaster will ever be fully explained.
According to a survey by the OBOP Institute, over sixty percent of the sceptics say that the tragedy is too complex to be explained and that the Russian side will not be striving for a full explanation of the air crash.
Thirty nine percent of respondents think the Polish side, too, will not strive to achieve such goal. Forty percent of Poles think that the causes of the disaster will be made public irrespective of who is found responsible for it. Forty four percent of the respondents do not share this view.
President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and ninety four other people, mostly high-ranking military and state leaders, were killed in the crash on 10 April in Smolensk, western Russia. (mk)
