Polish Radio 4 on-air, on-line

02.08.2010

Youth-oriented station Polskie Radio Euro has changed to Polskie Radio 4, but not just the name will be different.

Director of Polskie Radio 4, Krzysztof Luszczewski announced Monday that the name change is not a move to number all stations of Polskie Radio, but to make the listener aware that it is part of the staple of national broadcasting stations.

According to Luszczewski, one of the major problems of the station is that it has limited national coverage, with only 11 percent of the country able to receive Radio 4.

The station’s target audience still remains the 20-40 age bracket, with Radio 4 also introducing more multimedia to its website including music videos and video feeds from the studio.

Polskie Radio 4 (“Czwórka”) changes its name today from Polskie Radio Euro, which came on-air in May 2008, after taking over from Radio Bis. (jb)
