Czeslaw Sakowski, an English teacher from Poland, has won the “Linkin Park Featuring You” contest for the best remix of one of their songs.
The band organized the contest on MySpace. Contestants had to remix the band’s new track, The Catalyst.
Linkin Park received 16,000 submissions from all over the world and the US musicians chose the winner, NoBraiN, whose real name is Czeslaw Sakowski.
“I had an amazing conversation on Skype with him, where I told him the good news,” wrote Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park’s front man in his blog. Shinoda added that the quality of the MySpace remixes was amazing, even better than the band expected.
The 26-year old winner from the western town of Swidnica is not a professional musician but an English teacher, for whom remixing is a hobby.
