Police responsible for keeping the peace at the cross commemorating the Smolensk victims complain that they are tired of what have become everyday protests staged outside the Presidential Palace (here and here).

Police say that because of demonstrations organized by those for and against the cross remaining outside the Presidential Palace they need to work extra hours and some of them have had their holiday cancelled.

“We’re coping well at the moment but we’re just human beings and our number is not infinite. But it will not affect the city’s security,” Maciej Karczynski, spokesman for Warsaw police told the PAP news agency.  (mg/pg)
