Only five percent of Polish men do the cooking, finds a new survey.

Polish men hardy ever cook or clean but are willing to provide fix a leaking tap, shows research by SMG/KRC Milliward Brown.

Men and women do not share duties in the home equally. Women usually cook (59 percent), clean, do the washing up and laundry. Men hardly ever help them, according to the survey.

Even though men are said to be excellent chefs, at home they hardly ever prepare meals (only 5 percent). As many as 70 percent of Polish men think that cooking is a female duty.

However, 86 percent of Polish men fix things at home and only 14 percent ask a woman or a professional for help. (mg)
