Twenty five motorcyclists, lead by riders from the government protection bureau (BOR) have set off from Warsaw to Smolensk in commemoration of the April 10 plane disaster.
“We are paying tribute to our colleagues and others who died in the crash,” BOR’s Major Jaroslaw Cymerski told reporters.
He added that his officers decided to commemorate the death of BOR officers who were among the 96 who died in the crash which killed Lech Kaczynski, as many of them were motorcycle enthusiasts.
The expedition to Smolensk in western Russia is expected to last till August 20. (pg)
