Doctors at the Children’s health institute in Warsaw say the condition of the six year-old boy who had a liver transplant after eating poisonous mushrooms has improved and he maybe woken from an induced coma later today.
"The liver function of the transplanted organ has been improved considerably , " said Elżbieta Pietraszek-Jezierska.
Doctors will slowly bring six year-old Tomek out of the medically induced coma he has been in since Tuesday’s liver transplant. He is still on attached to dialysis unit, however, after the poinsonous mushrooms he ate damaged several of his internal organs.
