A man out for a walk on the bank of Vistula river in Warsaw found the fossilised remains of a mammoth’s tooth in the sand.
Apparently, say palaeontologists, the find is not such a rarity in Poland, as a number of mammoth teeth have been found near rivers, especially around the banks of the River San.
There are around 400 fossilized mammoth teeth registered in Poland, measuring between 12 to 30 cms. (ek)
