A conductor on a train service between the western cities of Poznan and Zielona Gora has been taken into custody after he was found to have more than 3.5 ‰ of alcohol in his system.
Police received notice of the drunk conductor from a passenger on the train as it arrived at its destination station. The conductor was apprehended on the platform.
“It turned out that the 43-year-old conductor had over 3.5 ‰ of alcohol in his body,” police spokeswoman in Zielona Gora, Malgorzata Stanislawska told the press. The man is to be handed over to prosecutors and awaits trial. (jb)
