12.10.2010

Tadeusz Mazowiecki, Poland’s first post-communist prime minister, was nominated as President Bronislaw Komorowski’s strategic advisor, Tuesday.

President Komorowski also called upon a number of other politicians, economists and diplomats to become his aides, including Henryk Wujec, Jan Litynski, Jerzy Pruski, Jerzy Osiatynski and Roman Kuzniar.

During the nomination ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Bronislaw Komorowski said that his team of aides is to build “the soul of the Presidential Chancellery.”

Komorowski also underlined that he wants the team of advisors to undertake “a mission so that the Presidential Chancellery becomes a place of debate, a crossroads of various political formations, varying trends of thought and ideas for Poland.” (jb)
