Memorial plaque in the Presidential Palace. Photo: PAPA memorial plaque listing the names of parliamentarians who died in April’s presidential plane crash in Smolensk is to be unveiled in the Sejm parliamentary building today, Wednesday.
The unveiling ceremony is to be attended by family members of the fallen parliamentarians, Sejm and Senate speakers, President Komorowski, Prime Minister Tusk and members of his cabinet.
There were 18 active parliamentarians onboard the Tu-154, including speakers of both houses (Sejm and Senate), as well as MPs from across the political spectrum.
MP and former Parliamentary Speaker between 1997-2001, Maciej Plazynski is to receive his own plaque commemorating his death. (jb)
