Local mayor writes manual for election hopefuls

05.11.2010

The mayor of Rusiec borough in the central province of Lodz has written and sold more than 1,000 copies of a manual which aims to help election hopefuls in gaining a seat in the upcoming local ballot.

Mayor Dariusz Wozniak, who wrote the manual which contains nearly 70 pages, has said that so far he has sold over 1,000 copies to people running for local council seats as well as city presidential hopefuls.

The cost of the manual is 1,200 zloty (300 euro), and contains tips on how to become more popular among the electorate.

According to Wozniak, the best marketing tactic is to make friends with taxi drivers, kiosk owners, hairdressers and nurses, all of whom should ideally work in the area where the election candidate is polling. (jb)
