09.11.2010

Police are searching for a Turkish citizen wanted in connection with the shooting of a man in the suburban town of Janki near Warsaw, Monday.

Erik Ahmet (pictured right), aged 30, is thought to have shot a 45-year-old man at a warehouse in Janki on Monday afternoon.

The man is 182 cm tall, and weighs around 110 kg. He was wearing dark jeans, a navy blue sweater and a black sleeveless jacket at the scene of the crime.

After searching for the man, including the engagement of a police helicopter, the alleged killer’s car was found abandoned in a forest in the vicinity of nearby Raszyn, which neighbours Warsaw directly to the south.

Police warn that the man may be carrying a firearm and should be considered extremely dangerous. Police are appealing for anyone who has seen the man to come forward by calling the emergency service number: 997 or 112. Anonymity has been guaranteed for witnesses. (jb)
