Every day about 160 crimes are committed in Warsaw, with 28,000 criminals detained in 2010. Every tenth of criminal was under 17 years old.
In 2010, the most dangerous Warsaw area was Srodmiescie (city centre), Mokotow and Praga-Poludnie, while the safest was Wesola (Warsaw suburbs). Armed bank robberies and assaults were committed mainly in Praga-Poludnie and Praga-Polnoc. (mg)
