Polish Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, together with the representatives of employers’ organisations and the largest trade unions, has signed a declaration to commence negotiations on ‘Economy-Work-Family-Dialogue’.‘We have managed to start in a new direction, hopefully leading to meaningful success in social dialogue, which will reinforce Poland’s development, the Prime Minister said.
The document was signed in Warsaw during a joint session of the Body for the Social Agreement and the Presiding Board of the Tripartite Commission for Society and Economy. Kaczyński informed that from now on the works of the commission will be presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Ludwik Dorn.
“Poland is facing a huge chance for development and improvement in our standard of living. It depends on the initiative, hard work and talents of Poles as well as the efficiency of social dialogue between social partners”, the declaration reads.
According to the constitution of the Republic of Poland – the document runs – social dialogue is one of the basic foundations of the nation, acknowledging that the principal aim of social policy is to reduce social exclusion and encourage full employment.
The government estimates that the social agreement will reinforce high economic growth and help to radically decrease unemployment, which is currently the highest in the EU.
