The daily Nasz Dziennik is speculating that the dissolution of parliament will be voted in parliament on August 22 and a General Election will be held in Poland on September 30. The Polish prime minister, Jarosalw Kaczynski was on Polish Radio this morning saying that a; decision has already been made’ on whether the coalition will continue or if his party, Law and Justice will go to the country.
He said that he will not be announcing the decision just yet as the country is still in a period of national mourning following the horrific coach crash which occurred near Grenoble, France, Sunday morning.
The announcement by the prime minister is expected Friday evening.
All newspapers are speculating as to what the announcement will contain: most think that it is virtually certain that a General Election will be called, as if the coalition was to continue the government would not have postponed informing the country of such a move.
