The final decision about the future of the coalition and parliamentary election will be made today, claims the daily "Życie Warszawy". The government has three choices: to continue with the present coalition; to go for an late September election; to wait till next Spring. The newspaper reminds that for the Law and Justice (PiS) politicians it isn’t the question if, but when it will be held.
“The decision will be made in the evening”, a high-rank officer at the PM’s chancellery said. He also claims that Jarosław Kaczyński has only been considering different scenarios of the developments.
The chancellery official admitted to the newspaper that although the prime minister was ready to talk to the coalition allies, an early election seems inevitable.
Maks Kraczkowski, the PiS Political Council Secretary has confirmed that two scenarios have been taken into account: election immediately after the holiday season or in the spring if a list of urgent things to be done can be agreed upon with the League of Polish Families (LPR) and part of Self Defence.
