The latest ruling Law and Justice electoral campaign TV advert in Poland uses slogans used by the opposition Civic Platform, in what is becoming a bitter feud between the two parties in the run up to October’s ballot.

Law and Justice’s new TV clip shows an elegant party, at which the guests are saying, “The Kaczyński brothers make a lot of fuss” and “are a disgrace abroad”.

The scenes are captioned “Peace”, “Constructing”, “Respect”, “So that life is better” – all used by Civic Platform in its campaign clips criticizing the former Kaczynski led government.

At the end, PM Jarosław Kaczyński says: “Our opponents are saying what they hear at the salons. We do what Poles want.”

Law and Justice had previously criticized Civic Platform for using billboard advertising that failed to identify that the messages were part their election campaign in the lead up to the general election on October 21.

Tomasz Dudziński from the Law and Justice Canvassing Committee accused Civic Platform of continuing its anonymous campaigning, contrary to State Canvassing Board (PKW) guide lines
