Future PM Donald Tusk has sustained his intention to co-operate with Michał Boni, one of the candidates for Labour Ministers in the new government. On Wednesday Boni publicly announced that in the 80s the communist secret services in the Peoples’ Republic of Poland (PRL) had forced him to sign a declaration of collaboration.
Civic Platform (PO) leader told the journalists that he is moved by this public announcement. “This shows how important the openness in public life is,” he said.
Tusk said that Michał Boni is an expert in social policy and a person of an extraordinary mind.
“I would like very much for Michał Boni to make up for his mistake and help – it remains to be seen in what role,” said Tusk.
The future PM did not exclude that on Monday, November 5, a draft of a coalition agreement will be ready. He pointed out, however, that this is going to be a draft of aims for the government to put into being.
Donald Tusk informed also that he is to meet Waldemar Pawlak, the leader of the Polish Peasants Party (PSL) – PO’s coalition partner. During the meeting he is to discuss also Michał Boni’s case.
