The world’s longest sofa has arrived to Poland from Edinburgh and will be a great attraction this week for visitors to the Baltic resort of Sopot.
It has been placed at the far end of Sopot pier, which extends 515 meters into the sea and is the longest wooden pier in Europe. The sofa is 51.4 metres long, which is half the size of a football pitch. It was assembled in Glasgow by staff from BoConcept store, which built the sofa. It weighs 1,250 kilos, has 54 legs and seats 104 people. The sofa is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s longest sofa.
