May 2 is Polish Flag Day. It was introduced five years ago to make Poles more aware of the history and significance of national symbols.

There are four days in the year when state and local government organs are required to fly the Polish flag: Independence Day on November 11, Constitution Day on May 3, May Day and May 2.

Is it a good idea to have a special day devoted to the national flag?. Are Poles proud of their history? Why are they not so keen to show their patriotic feelings? We hear from a historian, a journalist and ordinary Poles.
