Lukasz Kuropaczewski

The career of one of Poland’s most acclaimed young performers is a spectacular success story.

Now 28, Lukasz Kuropaczewski started to play the guitar at the age of 10 in a small locality in Western Poland where he was born. After so many years he remembers very vividly the day he became fascinated with the sound of the guitar which he heard in his parish church. He knew right away that this would be his instrument. He simply fell in love with the colour of the guitar sound.

Having graduated from a secondary music school, Lukasz Kuropaczewski  enrolled at the Music Academy in Wroclaw. After gaining his diploma, he went to the United States to continue his education as a postgraduate student of the Peabody Institute of the John Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Already at that time he toured extensively in Europe, the two Americas and Japan. At the end of 2007 he gave his debut recitals at the Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Right now, he commutes between Poland and the United States, teaching in both countries, and performing regularly in prestigious venues.
