Sweden has just assumed the EU presidency for the next six months and Poland is counting on tight and fruitful cooperation with its Baltic region partner. Besides concern for crisis effects and actions aimed at ratifying the Lisbon Treaty, both countries share other priorities as well. The Eastern Partnership project and the Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region constitute areas where Stockholm and Warsaw can act jointly for the benefit of others, not only EU members.
