“A little water is torture” is the motto of the Polish Humanitarian Organization’s water campaign, aiming to provide access to potable water in places such as Sudan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Burma or the Palestinian Autonomy. The campaign has been joined among others by mineral water producers Cisowianka, the daily Rzeczpospolita and the internet shop Merlin.pl.

PHO’s water campaign has had a generous response from Poles, more and more aware of the need to save water, and – apparently - more and more sensitive to the plight of others.
