The US announcement of abandoning the missile defense shield project in favor of a new solution has contributed to a reassessment of viewpoints among Washington's European allies and partners. Poland is one of them.
The reason for Poland's major interest in this development is clear - based on relevant agreements signed with the former Bush administration, it was to host the site of interceptor rockets of the American missile defense system in Europe, alongside radar facilities in the neighboring Czech Republic.
