It’s the best hotel in all of Europe, say its guests:  according to TripAdvisor.com the list of hotels in Poland is topped by one with the extraordinary name of The Blue Beetroot.

The rave reviews on the TripAdvisor portal are about a 200-year-old barn, run by a Polish-British pensioner couple and located in Laziska, about 4 kilometres from Boleslawiec and a little over a hundred from the city of Wroclaw.

EK spoke to Barbara Alaszewska, who moved here for a quiet retirement together with her husband John.
