This is in stark contrast to World Universities ranking, conducted by the Times Higher Education magazine which reveals that not a single Polish university has qualified to the Top 200 this year.

According to the survey, neither university staff nor students notice the fall of teaching standards. Ninety one percent of university teachers and 84 per cent of students claim that they are satisfied with their performance and the university they work or study at. Also, university staff praise themselves for being wise, talented and always prepared for the classes (95 per cent). Students largely support this opinion (87 per cent).

Experts agree, however, that Changes in Polish universities are needed,  not only because Polish universites are facing a demographic boom - twenty years ago the number of students did not exceed 400,000, today it is almost 2 million - but also because not a single one has qualified to the Top 200 of the latest World Universities ranking conducted by the Times Higher Education magazine.
