Polish environmental groups have cited the Polish government for not doing enough to protect the Bialowieza Primeval Forest, one of Europe’s oldest, straddling the Polish-Belarussian border.
The forest is home to special bird species and bison, Europe's largest continental mammal - all of whom are, according to environmental reports released Wednesday, in further danger of extinction.
