The Polish and German FMs have visited Minsk to convince the Belarusian president to hold fair elections.

The Polish and German heads of diplomacy presented a clear message from the EU, which is expecting a transparent election held according to accepted European standards. The Union has reiterated its intention of broadening economic cooperation with Belarus, on condition of improving observance of civic rights and respect for the rule of law by the Minsk authorities.
