Newcastle United wants Polish player

12.10.2007
Krzysztof Król, the left defender playing for Real Madrid’s second line-up and member of the Poland U-20 team has told the daily "Dziennik" he has received employment offers from English Newcastle United and Italian Atalanta Bergamo.

“It isn’t easy to get promoted in Real. I can be easily replaced by Gabriel Heinze or Brazilian Marcello. If a club decides to spend a few million Euros on a new player, it goes without saying that the new one will find his way into the first line-up rather than a junior from the second line-up. Luckily, I’ve received some proposals, too. The latest ones are from Newcastle United and Atalanta Bergamo”, said the young Pole.

“[The Premiership] is the best league in the world. In Spain, players frolic with the ball much too much. And anyhow, in Newcastle I would be guaranteed a position in the main squad”, he added.
